The background is simply a sheet of blue card with a torn sheet of white card stuck down for snow. The penguins themselves are a pair of Baby's footprints with black bodies and orange toes (We found it was a 2 person job and best to have the baby wipes on standby). I then did white thumb prints of my own to make their white tummies. Add googly eyes, beaks and a tree by sticking on.
I photographed the card and found an on-line company who would turn this into a printed Christmas card for us to send to relatives
